Woman in stable condition after stabbing in Cockeysville

Baltimore County police say a woman was stabbed early Tuesday in an incident in the Cockeysville area.

According to police, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. in the unit block of Cedar Tree Court in Cockeysville. During an altercation with a man, a woman was stabbed in the upper body, police said. Police said a third person received a superficial cut during the altercation when they tried to intervene.

The woman was transported to a local hospital and was in stable condition, according to police.

Police identified the suspect as Ricardo Terrell Saunders Jr., 30, and said he was charged with second-degree attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault and second-degree assault. He was being held without bail, police said.
