Man shot in face and neck in city's Lauraville neighborhood

City police said robbery is the likely motive in a shooting early Thursday in the Lauraville neighborhood that has left a 25-year-old man hospitalized.

The victim was found at 12:13 a.m. in the 4600 block of Harford Road, near the intersection with Grindon Avenue. He had sustained gunshot wounds to his face and neck, police said.

The victim had just left work when two men had approached him, police said. The victim wrestled with one suspect, who then fired twice from a small handgun, police said. Both suspects fled east on Moravia Road, police said.
