Big Ten move a defining one for Maryland president Loh: The University of Maryland's decision to move from the ACC in favor of the Big Ten is so large — fundamentally changing the portal through which many alumni and donors interact with the university — that it seems likely to define Wllace Loh's presidency, for better or worse.

Speed cameras catch government vehicles: More than 8,000 of the $40 automated speed camera tickets have been issued to vehicles owned by the state, Baltimore City and Baltimore County since 2009. City-owned vehicles that have been snapped by the speed cameras include trash trucks, school system buses and street sweepers.
