Southbound lanes on Interstate 95 near Laurel will be closed intermittently overnight beginning Sunday as the State Highway Administration paints the new Contee Road Bridge that crosses I-95.
Night-time closings, scheduled from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., are expected to continue through late October, according to SHA officials.
Drivers heading south between Route 198 and the Intercounty Connector should expect lane closings Sunday through Thursday nights, with one lane closed at 7 p.m., and two lanes closed at 11 p.m. There could be a period of time when three lanes are closed, SHA officials said, but all lanes will open by 5 a.m.
