Russett Sharks swimming to eighth winning season [Russett]

On July 6, the Russett Sharks improved to 3-1 with a 292-280 win over the MVP Dolphins. Russett Shark Allison Ritter set new Russett team and pool records in breaststroke (39.63) and IM (1:16.71); and Anthony Kazzi set a new Russett team record in the IM with a time of 1:28.83.

With the team's win over the MVP Dolphins, the Sharks are guaranteed another winning record, marking the team's eighth straight winning season. Since 2006, the team has won a Prince-Mont Swim League Division title five different times.

The Russett Sharks swim team was started in 1999 and Vanessa Cox has been the coach ever since.

On Saturday, July 13 the Russett Sharks will host the final dual meet of the season against Strathmore Bel Pre, who also has a 3-1 winning record. Go Sharks!

This Saturday, bring the whole family to the pool complex not only to cheer on the Russett Sharks but grab a hot dog, bag of chips and a drink for only $1 per person at the Russett Community Hot Dog Day from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Activities Committee, and donated frozen treats will be provided by American Pool Management Company.
