A Laurel woman and Sears employee was arrested this week in a theft scheme in which she and another employee allegedly robbed the Annapolis store of more than $200,000, Prince George's County Sheriff's Office said.
Teresa Ross, of the 14800 block of Bowie Road in Laurel, faces three theft charges in connection with the scheme, which police say occurred betwen July 21 and Sept. 17 of this year.
Authorities say Ross and a co-defendant made fraudulent credit card transactions to purchase televisions shipped to a location in Landover. They say Ross and the fellow employee, who was not named, also used their employee access to override declined transactions in order to earn commissions on fraudulent sales.
They say the losses total more than $200,000.
Authorities located Ross on Oct. 27 at her Laurel home and arrested her, they said.
