A Laurel police officer and his K-9 partner are featured on a calendar that is sold to help provide protective vests for police K-9 dogs.
Cpl. Jesse Conyngham and his police dog, Gaston, appear on the cover and Gaston's photo is on the month of July page of Vested Interest in K-9's 2015 calendar.
Proceeds from sales of the calendar, $15 each, go toward purchasing bullet- and stab-protective vests for police dogs. The vests cost about $950 each, according to information from city officials.
