The Laurel Main Street Festival and parade was held Saturday, May 9, sponsored by the Laurel Board of Trade.
Winners in the Main Street Festival parade are:
Judges Choice (Best in Parade): Iglesia De Dios.
Business/Commercial: First place, AMF Laurel Lanes; second place, Nestle Dreyer's Ice Cream.
Community Organization: First place, Truckin4Troops; second place, Laurel Chapter of American Rosie the Riveter Association; third place, Relay For Life.
Ceremonial presentation: First place, Knights of Columbus; second place, Laurel Police color guard.
Dancers/poms/cheerleaders: First place, Bowie Boys and Girls Club Blazers; second place, Lansdowne Shotting Stars; third place, Extravadance Dance Company.
Emergency responders: First place, Laurel Volunteer Fire Department; second place, Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Marching band: First place, West Laurel Rag Tag Band; second place, Laurel High School Marching Spartans.
Novelty: First place, Laurel Mill Playhouse; second place: Lost Laurel.
Youth organization: First place, Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department Junior Firefighters; second place, Laurel Little League; third place, Girl Scouts of Service Unit 40.
