Army Cadet Putu Zinnah graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment course, known as Operation Warrior Forge, at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Takoma, Wash. A student at Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, he is the son of Jackson and Oretha Zinnah, of Laurel.
Air National Guard Airman Troy Heflin graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, in San Antonio. A graduate of Arundel High School, in Gambrills, Heflin is the son of Troy Heflin, of Laurel, and Tamika Brown, of Odenton.
