Laurel city government and passport offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 30, while pools will open through Labor Day.
Laurel Municipal Pool hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. daily before the last day of school, and will be open from noon to 8 p.m. daily after the last day of school.
All residential and commercial refuse and recyclables collected on Mondays will be collected on Tuesday, May 31, with Tuesday's pick-ups scheduled for Wednesday, June 1. There will be no change to the commercial route on Tuesday or Wednesday.
No residential special pickup or yard debris collection will be scheduled during the Memorial Day week, city officials said; however, a pickup or collection can be scheduled by contacting the city at laurel.md.us or the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088. Residents can also sign up for the MyLaurel app on the city's website at cityoflaurel.org and submit requests to public works.
