I would like to strongly endorse Shukoor Ahmed's candidacy for the House of Delegates. I have known Shukoor Ahmed for the past 8 years and have followed him on social networks. During these years, I have benefited greatly with his insight in the areas of technology, public policy and governance.
Also, Shukoor has recognized philanthropy is not merely giving money to a good cause and being listed in a donor circle for political gains. He has truly embraced philanthropy in all its forms.
He gives time, expertise, resources from his professional life for endeavors he cares about. His company was ranked 5th and 46th in local giving by Washington Business Journal in 2009 and 2010.
I urge voters to not be swayed by special interest endorsements and Google candidates and ask them questions before deciding who to vote in this upcoming elections.
