The Laurel Police Department has cancelled its sobriety checkpoint scheduled for tonight because of the threat of heavy rain, according to city spokeswoman Audrey Barnes.
The checkpoint was scheduled to be held in the 100 block of Second Street, northbound Route 1, beginning at 11 p.m. tonight,
