Prince George's County Board of Education District 1 representative Zabrina Epps is co-hosting a community event, Public Advocacy for Education, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. at Heather Hills Elementary School in Bowie.
Epps, whose district includes Laurel, is hosting the event with District 5 representative Verjeana Jacobs.
Attendees are encouraged to bring new or slightly used coats, hats, mitten, gloves and scarves to the event, which will then be distributed to students in need.

Sign language and Spanish interpreters will be present.
