Step outside, or stay inside, for egg hunts in Laurel

Grab your baskets for indoor and outdoor egg hunts in Laurel.

Kids up to age 12 can enjoy age-group egg hunts at Laurel Parks and Recreation's annual Eggstravaganza, Saturday, April 12 beginning at 1 p.m. at Granville Gude Park at Laurel Lakes.


Don't forget to bring your own basket.

Co-sponsors are Laurel Lions Club, Chic-Fil-A and Sweet Frog.


Cherry Lane Nursing Center, 9001 Cherry Lane, will hold its own Easter Extravaganza on Saturday April 12 from 2-4 p.m.

In addition to an egg hunt, kids can pose for photos with the Easter bunny, play bean bag toss and compete in a dance contest.

Also on Saturday, April 12,  American Legion Post 60, 2 Main St., invites the community to a children's Easter party from 1-3 p.m., with Easter crafts, games and refreshments. Take your photo with the Easter Bunny then hunt for Easter eggs.

Community United Methodist Church, 300 Brock Bridge Road in Maryland City, will hold a children's Easter egg hunt Saturday April 19 at 2 p.m.

Kids of all ages can enjoy an egg hunt, treats and crafts.

Maryland City Baptist Church, 326 Brock Bridge Road, will offer an Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 19 from 1-4 p.m.; and City of Zion Church, 14100 Laurel Park Drive, will hold an Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m.-noon.

City of Zion's hunt is for kids ages 12 and under and their parents; children cannot be dropped off. Register in church bookstore, or call 301-490-7660.
