The city's Department of Communications will host a Social Media Social for city residents on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road.
The event will offer instruction and information on how to create Facebook and Twitter accounts, and how to use social media to stay connected to others and to receive city notifications.
Registration is required, and the class size is limited.
City officials said they expect to offer more classes and networking events for social media users in the future.
