City offices will be closed two days next week and recycling will be collected early because of the Christmas holiday.
City offices will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Dec. 26 for the Christmas holiday. Recycling usually collected on Thursdays and Fridays will be collected on Wednesday, Dec. 24. No refuse collections will be made on Thursday or Friday, Dec. 25 and 26.
Refuse collection will follow its usual schedule on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 29 and 30, with a special residential and yard debris pick up on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
City offices will also be closed, and no residential recycling and refuse collections will be made, on Thursday, Jan. 1, New Year's Day. Thursday collections will be made on Friday, Jan. 2.
The city will collect discarded Christmas trees on Wednesdays in January, beginning Jan. 7. Public Works staff will not pick up trees that are in plastic bags.
Public Works will also offer limited leaf vacuuming, once on each route, from Monday, Dec. 22 to Wednesday, Dec. 24. City residents can also bag leaves into paper bags or reusable containers and schedule a collection for Wednesday, Dec. 31.
