The third annual Laurel Arts Festival packs a full afternoon of art and entertainment into the Laurel Armory this Sunday.
Organized by members of the Laurel Arts District Committee, and sponsored by the city of Laurel, Klingbeil Capital Management and Cork and Bottle Liquors, the festival moved inside this year and has expanded beyond artists showing and selling their work, to include performances by musicians, theater troupes and poets.
The festival runs 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12 in the gym at the Laurel Armory Anderson Murphy Community Center, 422 Montgomery St., with performances geared for kids scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m.
The afternoon performances include:
3:15-3:30 p.m. Culture Kingdom for kids, interactive
3:45-4 p.m. Munro Myersburg, washtub bass
4-4:20 p.m. Joe Wall, synthesizer
4:30-5 p.m. Venus Theatre Butterfly Girl Campers
5:10-5:35 p.m. Gary Shayne, hammered dulcimer
5:45-6 p.m. Laci Radford, poet, acoustical guitar
6-6:15 p.m. Laurel Mill Playhouse, theatrical performance
6:30-6:45 p.m. Kay Lindsey and Jodi Beder, poetry with music
6:45-7:15 p.m. Iritis, psychedelic classic rock band
7:15-7:30 p.m. Furia Flamenca, dance by Morgan Heber
7:30-8 p.m. channel Volatile, closing band
