Laurel stabbing victim tells police attacker appeared intoxicated

A Laurel man told police he was stabbed while walking near Russett Green West and Route 198 early Saturday morning by a man who appeared to be intoxicated.

Police said the victim, 39, was approached by a man around 2 a.m., who yelled at him and then stabbed him in the abdomen three times. Police did not know what weapon was used. The man fought the attacker, who ran away on Russett Green West.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they are looking for a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
