Recyclables, including bikes, welcome at Emmanuel UM Church [North Laurel/Savage]

Emmanuel United Methodist Church will hold its Community Recycling and Bike Collection on Nov. 16, 9 a.m. to noon.

Goodwill will collect electronics, except TVs, as well as rigid plastics, eye glasses and more. Goodwill will also collect bikes and sewing machines to be sent to developing countries. Also needed is a $10 donation to help with shipping.

The Savage Historical Society will hold a meeting on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Faith and Ministry Center at 9032 Baltimore St. in Savage. This month's meeting will discuss whether Harry Heim actually turned Savage into a Christmas town, as he planned. If you have any questions, contact the president, Galen Menne, at 301-805-0891.

The 50+ Center will hold free Memory Screenings on Nov. 19 starting at 1:30 p.m.
