Forest Ridge Elementary PTS will host a holiday bazaar and is looking for crafters, vendors and local groups and businesses who would like a booth.

The Hammond Soccer Team will rake your leaves for you this fall. On Nov. 15 and 22, 4 team members will come to your home and rake your leaves for two hours. Reservoir High hosted Howard County's Music in Motion Band Competition recently. There were 14 schools who participated in an evening of music and fun. Reservoir took second place at the event. Way to go marching Gators!
Guilford Elementary School is holding its annual Turkey Trot and Fall Festival on Oct. 31. Rain date for the Turkey Trot is Nov. 7.
Girl Scout Troop 1508 have been asked by Santa to help collect names of good boys and girls and Santa will send them a letter from the North Pole. Murray Hill Middle School hosts guest teachers as part of its parent and community initiative. Recently, an atmospheric scientist at NASA came and spent the day with seventh and eighth grade science classes. What a great way to enhance students learning while building a better bond between school and community.

The 50+ Center has an Italian Spaghetti Dinner on Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. catered by Three Brothers. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for kids under 6 years of age. Early voting officially kicks off Oct. 23 through 30. There are three centers in Howard County and residents can go to any of those and vote early.
The closest center is Ridgely Run Community Center, 8400 Mission Road in Jessup. The other centers are at the Miller Library and Bain Center. The centers are opened 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
