The new trend of wearable art is finding its way to Howard County high school students. Students from Reservoir High School competed in the ManneqArt show earlier this summer and won three out of four possible awards given to teens.ManneqArt is a non-profit organization that focuses on bringing wearable art to all people. Through a variety of events during the year, the organizers strive to showcase the best in imaginative hair, makeup, costuming and digital art.Emma Bailey and Lyta Christian were awarded the Emerging Artist Award and received cash prizes of $250 each. Ally Wagner modeled Emma's work. Amanda O'Shaughnessy also won in the Emerging Artist category and earned the Sponsor's Award, bringing home $500.The amazing work of these talented girls is being showcased throughout the county and can be found at the Columbia Mall, the Board of Education and the Howard County Art Center throughout the month of September.
