Get ready for the 28th annual Savage Fest on June 6. The fest runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and has a lot of fun events and activities for all.
There will be a moon bounce, pony rides, petting zoo, magic show, live music and performances by local organizations. You can learn about local history with reenactments or visit the many booths full of local crafts, food and information. There will even be a magical photo booth.
This is such a fun day in our local community. Come out and enjoy it. Also, as a special treat, this will be the unveiling of the local book by the Savage Historical Society on the community. The book is titled "A Trip down Memory Lane." The historical society will also have the 2016 calendars, "It Happens in Savage."
Murray Hill Middle was honored to receive one of three Platinum Awards from the county for being part of the Healthy Howard School program.
The award recognizes schools that display extraordinary commitment to nutrition and fitness. This is a great way to instill proper nutrition and exercise in our students.
Way to go Reservoir High School Track Team. The boys' team finished first in the county. The girls team took third.
Congratulations to Fulton Elementary School's fifth graders for the excellent job they did with the Simulated Congressional Hearings. They did a wonderful job teaching the judges, from all walks of life, about the Constitution. Way to impress.
