Follow the yellow brick road to Laurel Woods [North Laurel/Savage]

Do I hear music at the Woods? Laurel Woods, that is. The Laurel Woods Music Theater Department proudly presents "The Wizard of Oz." The show dates are May 14 and 15 at 2 and 7 p.m.

Laurel Woods created a theater department last year to offer the students of the school an outlet to sing, dance and act. They have also been doing some fundraisers to upgrade the equipment for the school such as their sound system in their cafetorium. That sound system will debut with this year's production.

Third, fourth and fifth graders tried out for parts and have been rehearsing since November. The students have worked hard to prepare for this delightful show. The show will be co-directed by general music teachers Emily Goudreau and Ellissa Lawrence, as well as the pre-k teacher Amanda Faudale. What an amazing gift these directors have brought to their students. Break a leg!
