Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. The Knights of Columbus at Resurrection of our Lord Church will host a Dinner and Dance on Saturday, Feb. 14.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and will have food, music and entertainment for the entire family. Tickets are $12.50 per person, $6 for those under 18, in advance, and $15 and $7.50 at the door.

Murray Hill Middle School was the host to two teachers from South Korea to demonstrate best practices in science. Forty teachers from South Korea visited the U.S. and we were lucky enough to have them visit here in our area. Great recognition for the quality of programs we have for our children.
Bollman Bridge's Regional Early Childhood Center toddler and preschool programs are now accepting applications for the 2016 school year. The programs are designed for children with or without disabilities to help them develop skills to prepare them for learning.
Slots are limited and, if needed, a lottery will be created for entry. Social skills, communication, math and many other skills will be taught. Children must be 3 or 4 years of age by the start of the school year. All applications must be submitted by March 20. Howard County Recreation and Parks is accepting registration for the spring sports season for lacrosse. The program is for children ages 5 through 14. If your child is in high school and thinking of college, make sure you attend Reservoir High School's college information night on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. It will provide an overview of the college application process and then break up into three 25-minute sessions. You can choose to attend Navigating the College Search Process, Understanding Financial Aid, Completing a College Application, NCAA Eligibility and Recruiting, the Benefits of Attending a Two-Year College and Standardized Testing, PSAT, SAT and ACT.
This program is open to all students and their families in ninth through 11th grade.
