Anne Arundel County Police have charged a 30-year-old Laurel woman with stabbing her husband to death.
About 10:30 a.m. Friday, Anne Arundel County Police responded to a home in the 8300 block of Frostwood Road in Laurel, where they found Johnnie Sutton III, 38, dead.
Marquita Berry-Sutton, 30, who also lived at the residence, is charged with second degree murder. The office of the chief medical examiner determined that Sutton, who was serving in the Army, suffered several stab wounds and ruled his death was a homicide, that had been caused by blunt force trauma.
Since surrendering to police Saturday, Sutton has been held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center. The couple's 21-month-old child who was at home during the incident and was not harmed, is now in the custody of relatives, according to a release issued by Lt. T.J. Smith.
