Three homes damaged, three residents displaced in Howard County fire

A fire in North Laurel Friday afternoon caused significant damage to three townhouses and displaced three residents, according to the county fire department.

Firefighters responded at around 1:30 p.m. to the 9400 block of Woodsong Court after receiving multiple reports of heavy fire showing through the roof of the townhouses.

Officials shut down the road between Woodsong Court and Royal Path Court as they fought the fire, according to the county's Twitter account.

Howard County officials said it took firefighters from Howard, Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported.

As of Friday afternoon, officials had no damage estimate.
