The Gladiators defeated the visiting Lightning Friday in a 10-0 shut out victory.

Glenelg grabbed an early lead after an RBI single by Katie Dustin and a productive out by Katie McIntyre in the first inning.

The Gladiators then added five runs in the fifth. Kathryn Hoffman and Molly Dustin each hit an RBI single in the inning.

They finished with 13 hits on the day, with Dustin Madi Wingert, Molly Dustin, Emily Michalski and Hoffman each collecting multiple hits. McIntyre, Hoffman and Dustin also drove in two runs each to the Glenelg.

Amy Stetser pitched three innings and allowed two hits, while Hoffman came in for the save and allowed four hits.

Stephanie Moy led Long Reach with two hit in three at-bats.

Six different players recorded a hit in the Lions' 16-0 win over the visiting Scorpions Friday.

Sophia Morton led the way, going 3 for 3 with 4 RBI, while Paige Eakes went 2 for 2 with a double and 4 RBI. Emily stokes hit a double, while Ally Wieman, Jenna Unkle and Emily Polimeni each picked up a hit and finished with four and two RBI, respectively.

Becky Merson pitched three innings for Howard, allowing no runs, hits or walks, while striking out four in the win. Emily Stokes finished the final two innings to preserver the shut out, while walking two and striking out three.

Hammond 6, Wilde Lake 1

The Golden Bears defeated the visiting Wildecats Friday to earn their seventh win of the season.

Wilde Lake scored its lone run in the top of the third inning following walks by Jane Hilger and Hannah Van Osdel and a hit by Adanya Koger-Hobson. Jasper Killian then plated a run after an RBI single.

Rachel Van Osdel went 2 for 3 for Wilde Lake, while Sydney McNamara tacked on a hit as well.

The Wildecats had their strongest defensive performance of the year in the game. Killian recorded three put-out and two assists at short, while Kasey Baird had her second solid pitching performance in a row, striking out two and making four plays on the mound as well.

Taylor Liguori led Hammond at the plate, hitting a two-run home run in the sixth, while Natalie Raley went 2 for 2 with two singles and Brittany Brewer went 2 for 4 with a single and a double.

It was a productive day for Reservoir senior Michelle Armstrong. She not only led her team with six goals on the day to help the Gators clinch their third straight win Friday, but also eclipsed the 100-goal milestone for her varsity career.

Alex Sadzewicz and Haley Tiller followed offensively for Reservoir, combining for six goals and six assists in the win, while Elizabeth Hyde made two stops in net.

Both teams resume play Tuesday, with the Gators visiting Mt. Hebron and the Wildecats hosting Hammond.
