Myles Johnson, Trevor Romaine and EJ Sweet each had two hits and Daniel Elliott allowed one unearned run and struck out seven to lead the Gators.

Jake Ewart allowed three earned runs and nine hits and Conarie Steinbach had two hits for the Eagles. John Pistner and Ryan Cavey each had RBIs.

The Scorpions scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 7-3 lead in their victory. Ryan Looper, who had an RBI in the third inning, had a 2-RBI double and Arderii Brown hit a two-strike grand slam in the sixth. The Gladiators scored three runs in the top of the seventh innings against reliever Luke Lawrence but he was able to close out Oakland Mills’ first county win of the season.

Gavin Ross had three hits to improve his batting average to .583 and Nick Dinoto had two and is hitting .571 for the Mustangs. Ryan Lee allowed one earned run and struck out four over six innings.

Sophomore Nathan Dawes started and got the win for the Lions by going 3.2 innings and giving up one hit and one run while striking out nine. Senior Austin Foard closed it out pitching a scoreless 1.1 innings.

In a high-scoring back-and-forth affair, the Golden Bears prevailed in extra innings thanks to a walk-off 2-run home run to right center by Taylor Liguori.

Liguori finished the day 2-4 with a triple, the home run, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Other standouts at the plate for Hammond included Brittany Brewer (2-5, run), Kaylee Beahm (2-3, 2 doubles, walk, 2 runs, RBI) and Abbie Weirich (1-4, triple, 3 runs).

In the loss, Mt. Hebron outhit Hammond 17-10 and got three-hit efforts from Ashley Cheung (3-5, triple, 3 runs, RBI), Eliza Munns (3-5, 3 runs, RBI), Kieran Davis (3-4, double, 2 RBI, run) and Emma Behel (3-4, 3 RBI).

The Eagles won their third game in a row and second straight in extra innings, as Lauren Marcotte (1-4, 2 runs, 2 RBI, SB) drove in Grace Bennett (1-3, double, 3 runs, RBI) for the walk-off win in the bottom of the eighth.

Other strong games for Centennial came from Erine McGuire (2-4, RBI), Sarah Phelps (2-5, RBI) and Augusta Ruckdeshel (1-4, 2 RBI). Jordan Hinz pitched the full eight innings and earned the win.

Reservoir’s offense was highlighted by a four-run third inning. The Gators scored one in the top of the eighth on a RBI fly out by Maddy Davis.

Centennial answered in the bottom half, though. Sarah Sopchick started on second and stole third, setting Bennett up to drive her in and tie the game. Sarah Phelps bunted Bennett over and that set up Marcotte to drive in the winning run.

The Lions got a shutdown pitching performance from Angelina Tyler (7 innings, 9 strikeouts) to go along with three-hit days from Tyler, Ashlyn Moynihan and Lindsey Smith. Julia Colton added a home run and a team-high 3 RBI for Howard.

Veronica Goode threw all seven innings for the Wildecats, striking out three. Lily Richards and Alegria Gigena Silva had the hits for Wilde Lake.

Every Lightning batter reached base at least once and scored at least one run. Kamryn Walker went 2-5 with a grand slam, while Hailey Ramberg went 1-4 with a 3-run home run. Other offensive standouts were Sierra Sims (3-5) and Alexis Warthen (4-5, 3 runs).

Sayla Phillips pitched for Long Reach and struck out seven.
