Centennial handed Marriotts Ridge just its second county loss this season thanks to an offensive outburst the first few innings. In the first frame, senior Todd Hendrix launched a three-run home run to give the Eagles the early lead. Then they added three runs in the third inning to take a 6-1 lead. The Mustangs scored five runs the final three frames and hit well throughout — they finished with 11 hits — but they could not overcome four errors and an early deficit.

A day after failing to score a run, River Hill blasted the ball at the plate for four straight innings in a run-rule victory. The Hawks record 15 hits, four of which came from Connor Coleman. Meanwhile, Connor McCullough added three hits and Danny Selby, Alex Florenzo and Tucker Finkelston had two base knocks apiece.

Glenelg Country picked up a Senior Day win over St Johns Catholic Prep. All four seniors — Alex Beglan, Michael Diangelo, Michael Fagan, and Spencer Goldrich — contributed to the victory by each scoring a run. The Dragons took advantage of nine walks and two hit batters to give them plenty of base runners that were able to score with timely hits. Junior Tyler Russo pitched a complete game for the victory, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits while striking out seven and issuing one walk.

River Hill — 5, Glenelg — 0

River Hill's Ibrahim Khan won the No. 1 singles match, 8-0.

GIRLS TENNIS:

River Hill's Natalie Leveque and Anna Hovet won, 8-5, and Amanda Zhu and Caroline Dull won, 8-2. Siri Jale won the No. 2 singles match, 8-3.
