Atholton, Centennial and Glenelg Country opened up their field hockey seasons with wins Tuesday.

Stephanie Gottwals was the catalyst for the Raiders, as her goal with 2.8 seconds left to play lifted Atholton past the Comets, 4-3, in a thriller.

On the restart after the goal, the Raiders' Tori Raulin lifted the ball to Gottwals who dribbled down field past the defense and went one-on-one with the goalie to score the game-winner.
