Veterans Elementary School in Ellicott City has partnered with the Y of Central Maryland's Dancel Family Center to support health and wellness initiatives for students and staff, the Howard County Public School System announced earlier this month.
With the partnership, the Dancel Center — which neighbors Veterans — will host team-building activities for the school's staff and host a Night Out for fifth-grade students. Student and staff are also encouraged to participate in the YMCA's various community program.
The YMCA will also provide resources for Veterans' Wellness Day this year.
