Learn to putt with state golf champ Bennett Buch [Sports Breakdown]

Marriotts Ridge's Bennett Buch made history last fall as a freshman, capturing the boys golf state championship with a record-setting two-day total of 138 (4-under par) at the University of Maryland golf course.

Buch's winning individual effort also led the Mustangs' charge to the program's first team title at the state championships as well.

Leading up to his sophomore year, Buch has continued his outstanding play. In late June, he captured the 89th Maryland Junior Amateur title by three shots.

His two-round total of 143 was enough to outlast Lee Detmer, who had held the lead early in round No. 2.
