River Hill senior Charlie Thomas signed his National Letter of Intent on Friday, officially committing to play basketball at Wisconsin.

"All the stress is off my shoulders and I'm excited to be a Badger now," Thomas said. "Now that I've signed, I'm looking forward to the high school season and seeing what it has to bring."

Thomas, a 6-foot-8 245-pound forward, gave an oral commitment in October and also considered DePaul and Rutgers.

Thomas played in front of Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan on his AAU team, D.C. Premier, at a tournament in Philadelphia last summer, and said after his official visit to the school "everything felt comfortable to me."
