Reservoir field hockey puts Long Reach away, 3-1

Reservoir pulled away from a scoreless halftime tie to beat Long Reach, 3-1, Wednesday. Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the game was postponed due to weather conditions.

The two teams entered the game tied in the county standings with 2-5 records.

Mary Kate Sisk, a call-up from the JV, scored Reservoir's first goal four minutes into the second half. It was her second varsity goal in as many games.

Seniors Patricia Huerta and Robyn Pidliskey produced insurance goals for the Gators.

Lillie Miller put Long Reach on the scoreboard in the last two minutes of the game.

"We weren't finding our rhythm in the first half but in the second half everything clicked," said Reservoir coach Lindsay Beil.

Beil said her team has been working on certain skills in practice and it was nice to see the squad implement those skills in a game.
