Mt. Hebron field hockey defeats River Hill, 4-2, to keep title hopes alive

With a 4-2 victory over River Hill on Monday, Mt. Hebron is one win away from the Howard County field hockey title. The Vikings and Glenelg have 9-1 county records. If both teams win Tuesday, they will share the county title.
Mt. Hebron has the more difficult opponent in archrival Centennial; Glenelg faces Long Reach.
Two goals by Katie Anderson helped fuel the Vikings' win over River Hill. Monica Linn goal came on a penalty stroke.
Erin Barker and Dani Schwab scored for the Hawks on their Senior Day.

Visiting Indian Creek held off Glenelg Country School, 1-0, in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference game. The game was evenly played with Glenelg Country holding a slight 17-15 advantage in shots on goal.
The Dragons' downfall was their inability to turn any of their 12 penalty corners into goals.
Glenelg Country saw strong play from senior goalkeeper Kelly Johnson (14 saves) and senior midfielder Hannah Veater.
