Marriotts Ridge boys lacrosse competed in Monday's Annapolis Tournament at Annapolis High School. In the team's first matchup against Calvert County's Huntingtown High School, the Mustangs got big performances from Patrick Clipp (3 goals) and Austin Dorsey (2 assists).
In the tournament championship game against the host Panthers, Mak Kennedy notched his second and third goals of the day, while Jack Grote and Clipp also got on the board for the second time overall.
"We had a solid effort defensively, and the way Chris McTague has been playing in the cage, we were able to stay in both games," Mustangs coach Tony Incontrera said. "We looked better offensively than we have in recent weeks, and I am hoping that this will carry over down the stretch run."
