Glenelg and Marriotts Ridge won their games Tuesday afternoon to finish the county season with identical 10-1 records. An Atholton victory over Long Reach on Wednesday would mean a three-way tie for the county title.

It is Marriotts Ridge's first county field hockey title and Glenelg's 15th since 1987 and seventh in a row. It would be Atholton's second county hockey title. The Raiders tied with Centennial in 1995.

The playoff draw for pubic schools takes place Thursday. The sectional playoffs are Oct. 21 (quarterfinals), Oct. 23 (semifinals) and Oct. 27 (finals). The regional final games are Wednesday, Oct. 29.
