Atencion — Hispanic Cultural Fair is Sept. 12

Come out to the Hispanic Cultural Fair on Sept. 12 starting at 1 p.m. Enjoy food, entertainment, crafts and children's events at the North Laurel Community Center. If you are interested in participating, call 410-313-0459.

The first chat and chew at Guilford Elementary will be Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m., right before the 7 p.m. PTA meeting. Come out and meet the new principal and then stay and meet the PTA. Both meetings will be held in their media center.


September is busy at the 50+ Center. On Sept. 8 at 1 p.m., it's "Talkin Broadway Series." This free program follows the history of Broadway through discussion and music.

Sept. 22 starting at 10:30 a.m. is "Travel Talk: Cruising the Eastern Mediterranean. Travel enthusiast Rick will present things to see and do and how to plan your next cruise in this free program. Tap Aerobics Class will start Sept. 23 and run through Nov. 18. Cost is $43 for 8 classes.

On Sept. 24 will be the presentation on "A Few Moments of Your Time May Save you $$$." How to save on your Medicare costs. Sept. 30 at 12:15 p.m. is Fire and Fall Prevention Lunch n Learn. Bring your own lunch or book a lunch when you register.

Patuxent Valley Middle School will have its first skate night is Sept. 11 starting at 7 p.m. and their first Chick-fil-A night will be Oct. 1.

Bollman Bridge PTA will hold a punt, pass and kick contest for kids 6 to 15 on Sept. 12. Registration will start at 10 a.m. on the field behind the school.
