Turf Valley Towne Square will be holding a New Year's Eve Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. Come out for a night of fun and dancing as patrons ring in the New Year. Enjoy premium top-shelf open bar, hors d'oeuvres and food stations, champagne toast at midnight, martini bar and lounge and enjoy the sounds of The Klassix, which will entertain guests with live music. Turf Valley Hotel is offering overnight accommodations with New Year's Day breakfast buffet in Alexandra's Restaurant and two tickets to the event. Calvary Lutheran Church in Woodbine is inviting everyone to its Christmas and New Year's Services. Beginning on Saturday, Dec. 24, at 3 p.m., a traditional worship service with harp music will be held. A traditional service geared toward families with children offering brass music will be held at 5 p.m. while a contemporary worship service led by the Praise Encounter team will be held at 7 p.m. The evening will end with an 11 p.m. traditional worship service with choir music. All Christmas Eve services will include communion and candlelight. On Sunday, Dec. 25, a service blending contemporary and traditional worship styles celebrating our savior's birth will be held at 1 a.m. On Sunday, Jan. 1, come ring in the New Year at 11 a.m. with a service of lessons, carols and communion. Save the date of Feb. 4, 2017, for Sykesville Main Street's 2nd Annual IceFest in Downtown Sykesville. There will be new events, activities and frozen sculptures for you and your family to enjoy.
