St. Alphonsus project supports troops overseas [Marriottsville/Sykesville/Woodstock]

While Christmas is right around the corner, many of our service men and women will not be home this year. St. Alphonsus Rodriguez parish members are collecting shoe boxes filled with everyday items to send overseas to our troops.

Some ideas to place in the shoe boxes are flavored coffee, beef jerky, cans of Pringles, candy, cookies, baby wipes, cotton swabs, DVD's and a personal note to the person receiving these gifts. Anyone can fill and drop off wrapped shoe boxes behind the church (marked "shoebox") no later than Dec. 7.

A $3 donation would be appreciated to help with the shipping costs. Please support our troops and consider donating a shoe box full of goodies.
