Various exercises, personal time for exploration and the following topics will be considered, Ancient Wisdom and the Desert Fathers, the Mystical Experience and Doctors of the Spirit and rugged holiness in the Modern Age. Participants should check in on Friday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. This event will end Sunday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. The cost for this event is $225. On Sunday, Nov. 16, please join us for a Chapel Concert with The Alleluias at 3 p.m. For more information on either of these events, please contact Tessa Barnett at 410-442-3142.
As autumn leaves fall and the colors change, why not come out to the Howard County Conservancy and go for a nature walk with Conservancy naturalists. Join us on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. as we stroll through the leaves and enjoy the autumn air. The naturalists at the Conservancy have unique knowledge about the land including the plants and animals that reside there. Bring your family and join an age-appropriate group to walk across the meadows, on woodland paths, and/or around the farmstead. Wear comfortable clothing and don't forget hats and gloves if it is windy. This event is free for the entire family.
Whether we like it or not, Christmas is right around the corner! Come out to St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Parish in Woodstock, Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and get started with your shopping at its annual Christmas Bazaar. The bazaar offers many unique handmade crafts and goodies for the kitchen. Not crafty? No problem! The church is taking donations for their silent auction and Santa's Secret Shop where children can shop for that special someone in their lives. In addition to shopping, children can have breakfast with Santa Claus. For $5 you will get pancakes, sausage and a little holiday spirit! If you are interested in participating or have other questions, please contact Barbara Helmrich at 410-442-1248 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
