Come down to historic Main Street on Sunday, May 3, from noon to 5 p.m., for the fifth annual Sykesville Fine Art and Wine Festival.
Local wineries will provide samples, glasses and bottles of wine for sale. There will also be tastings of craft beers. Local artists will have their works on display and there will be an array of food options and live entertainment.

St. James United Methodist Church will hold its Spring Fling on Saturday, May 9, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., at 12470 Old Frederick Road, in Marriottsville.
Come and peruse through bedding and vegetable plants, hanging baskets and many one-of-a-kind flea market finds. The Fellowship Hall will have hot breakfast, lunch items and, of course, a bake sale. All proceeds will benefit the United Methodist Women and the St. James Camp Hope Team.

St. Andrew's Church in Glenwood will hold a flower, herb and vegetable sale on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Come out and choose from annuals, garden flowers, hanging pots as well as vegetables, herbs and Mother's Day planters. All proceeds from this sale will benefit the Youth Pilgrimage trip in July 2015.
