Marriotts Ridge High School Music Program will present its Jazz at the Ridge concert in the MRHS Theater on Wednesday, April 11, at 7 p.m.

In addition to the award-winning Marriotts Ridge Big Band and the Mount View Middle School Jazz Band, this year’s performance will also include Howard County’s Most Wanted. which features seven nationally-recognized artists who all have a connection to Howard County schools as alumni, former teachers, private instructors or clinicians. These artists include Todd Butler, Barry Enzman, Matthew Everhart, Damon Foreman, John Morgan, Brian Simms and Christian Stengle. Each of these musicians have incredible careers of their own and have put this group together for one special performance that is not to be missed. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door and can be ordered by sending an email to jazzattheridge@gmail.com. Please be sure to include the number of tickets needed and your contact information in the email. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the ticket counter on the evening of the show. So arrive early, pick up your tickets and enjoy a one-of-a-kind concert!

Frisky’s Wildlife Sanctuary in Woodstock will once again be holding its yearly fundraiser every weekend in April, beginning the weekend of April 7. Frisky’s yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays during April, rain or shine. Donations for the yard sale are welcome and are tax deductible. This fundraiser brings in the most income for Frisky’s and helps to take care of injured and abandoned wildlife animals at the sanctuary.
