A big congratulations goes out the Western Howard County Youth Basketball Boys 8 Champions for the 2014-2015 season, Team Arkansas! It was a long and tough season for this team as they had a 5-7 record going into the playoffs.

With pure determination and great coaching, Team Arkansas prevailed as the winners of their bracket on March 10 at Marriotts Ridge High School. Thank you to coaches Bill Renehan and Jeff Cooper as they led their team to victory.

Congratulations also goes out to the players — Nick Cho, Griffin Hayden, Payton Jaap, Kyle Matus, Clay Miller, Nick Plummer, Camden Renehan and Andrew Scourtis. Many of these boys have played as a team for the past four years and this was the first year they made it to the top of the playoffs.

As these boys will all be entering high school in the fall, this was a night that these players, their coaches and families will never forget. Congratulations on a job well done!
