The Medlock family made a lasting impact on the Lisbon United Methodist Church when Rev. Scott Medlock served as pastor there many years ago.Church members learned to love the entire family and lasting friendships developed. As a proof of that, this September Sandy and David Eash, Gayle and George Carter, Ann Moyers and Puzz Brightwell all past and current church members, flew to Denver, Colorado, to attend the wedding of Angela Medlock and Michael Resman. Angela is the daughter of Maria Elena and Scott Medlock currently of Anchorage, Alaska. Joining them in Colorado were David and Joyce Laws, formerly of A.E. Mullinix Road, now residing in North Carolina. At the wedding reception, the Carters were deemed the couple married the longest with 61 years of bliss to their credit. The Eashes came in second with 55 years. To her credit, Ann Moyers, who had never flown before ,bit the bullet and endured the four-tour trip very well. She received her wings from Southwest Airlines as a first-time flier and for breaking that barrier. For the nature lovers among us, residents along Duvall Road report an unusual and rarely witnessed sighting ... an all-white deer grazing among a herd of brown deer. The herd has been seen on a clearing about a half mile north of Ed. Warfield Road. Look right and left as you drive through.Remember the Glenwood Middle School Harvest Hustle on Friday , Oct. 7.
