Lisbon Elementary School announces that it will continue its "Pride Brick" drive throughout the summer. The project is designed to fund the series of events being planned for the fall to commemorate Lisbon's 40th anniversary. Bricks will be placed in a brick garden adjacent to the main entrance of the school. Lisbon school community members will have this opportunity to support the school and honor a loved one by purchasing a brick and dedicating it to someone who has graduated from the school and/or to honor a specific accomplishment or memory. The school needs to sell 250 bricks to accomplish its goal. As of this printing the principal, Michael Caldwell, reports that they have sold 95 bricks. Call the school for further information on purchasing a brick.

Caldwell also announced that he is being transferred to Elkridge Elementary School as its principal and will be replaced by Elkridge's current principal, Debra Anoff. As he plans to depart, he says "It has been my pleasure to be a part of this proud school community for the past four years.I have truly enjoyed working with the students, staff, PTA and parents of this gem of a school. To my knowledge, there is nowhere in the world quite like Lisbon Elementary. I will miss working with all of you and wish nothing but the bet of luck to you in your future endeavors." We need to say regretfully farewell to Caldwell as of July 1 as we prepare to welcome Anoff.
