During these cold and dreary winter days, you may want to explore some of the interesting indoor offerings at the Gary Arthur Community Center. On Jan.19 and 23, at 11 a.m., Steve Friedman offers two of a series of educational and entertaining sessions entitled "The History of Broadway." During these sessions, he delves into the history of the plays he discusses and sings excerpts. On Jan. 26, at 10 a.m., is an important and relevant session on "Auto Theft Prevention" that is appropriate for all who own a car. A class entitled the "Origin of Coinage" on Jan. 27 features Steve Benner, Ph.D., discussing the history of coinage from the early Greek culture until the present. You can stay for the movie "Sully" at 1 p.m. All events are free except the movie. The cost of the movie is $1.00. For more information on any of these programs or the many others offered at the Center call 410-313-5440. Watch for more special programs during the month of February.
