Rouse has an Inn
"Rouse Co. Forms Inn Department
"The Rouse company has announced the formation of a new department in the Commercial Development Division to be known as the Inn & Restaurant Development Department.
"According to Peyton S. Cochran Jr., senior vice president in charge of the Commercial Development Division, the new department was established when the results of a recent feasibility study revealed the need to plan an construct over-night accommodations in existing and future Rouse Company projects.
"The Rouse Company, a pioneer in the creation of regional enclosed mall shopping centers and new forms of residential communities, now owns and operates thirteen enclosed malls in eight states. Seven additional centers are in development or under construction.
"Present Rouse Company plans call for the construction of two inns, a 100-room inn in The Village of Cross Keys, a residential retail-office community in Baltimore, and a 150-room inn in Columbia. The Columbia Inn is schedule to open in the spring of 1971, and the Cross Keys Inn will be completed in the fall of 1971."
