Mt. Zion UM's choir in Cancer Society benefit [Highland/Fulton]

You are invited to come listen to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Choir of Highland, along with choirs from Glen Mar, Glenelg, and Linden-Linthicum United Methodist churches, when they perform in a concert to benefit the American Cancer Society on Nov. 16 beginning at 3 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 2875 Bethany Lane in Ellicott City.

The Lime Kiln Middle School students of the week for the week ending October 10 are Victoria Uttenreither, Joelle Poppa, Dylan Altman, Montana Griffith, Celena Fei, Krisopher Jenkins, Mia Ehrlich, Anna Miller, Lewis Miller, Jacob Kaplan, Evan Newman, Francesca Ly, Zeeyada Gebru, Caleb Barnes, Sophia Guan, Dominic Beninati, Olamide Oluwafemi and Kaden Toler. The Reservoir High School girls soccer team recorded a second consecutive shutout in their 3-0 win over Oakland Mills. Kylie Toler, Kayla Pindell and Natalie Raymond scored the goals for the Gator Girls. Darci Fehr and Dana Gillum led the defense in the shutout. Congratulations.

The RHS girls Varsity Volleyball Team continues to dominate, beating Atholton High School 25-15, 25-12 and 25-20. Team leaders in the games were Maddy Belt, 20 kills, 9 digs and 2 blocks; Amaka Chuckwujekwu, 5 kills, 1 ace; Barbara Kelley, 3 aces, 2 kills and 19 digs; Megan Lieb, 3 aces, 10 assists and 6 digs; and Katie Dorn, 15 assists. Congratulations to the team and to Coach Jamie Bullock.
