The upcoming school year of 2019-2020 marks the 20th anniversary of Lime Kiln Middle School.
In commemoration, the Lime Kiln music department, along with the PTA, has commissioned an original piece of music to be composed by Mark Lortz, director of music at Stevenson University. Lortz is highly respected within the music industry and a published composer. His piece will debut at the 2020 Spring Band Concert as part of Lime Kiln’s year-long anniversary celebration.
To remember this special gift, a memorial plaque will be presented to the school during the celebration and then prominently displayed in the hallway near the front office.
To help offset the expense of this composition, your tax-deductible contribution of any amount would be greatly appreciated. Please contact the Lime Kiln PTA at email@example.com for details on how to contribute.
The Kids Heart Challenge at Fulton Elementary School was a huge success. Thanks to all the students, families and friends who raised money for the American Heart Association. The students had fun and got fit while jumping rope at the event. The goal was to raise $15,000 for the AHA. The students shot past that and raised $22,321. Woohoo Fulton!
Special recognition to the top two fundraisers: first-grader Christian Chaffo – $1,050; and fourth-grader Daniela Jimenez – $1,000.
Congratulations to the following Lime Kiln Middle School students who demonstrated their ability to ROAR: Responsible, Organized, Achieving and Respectful, for the week ending June 6: Kyrie Moquin, Alex Nguyen, Hannah Newhouse, Alicia Swirsky, Michael Liu, Milan Khalid, Lauren Lee, Dia Dileesh, Anna Sretenski and Kania Dozier.
